Teaching a photography class can be a great way for photographers to earn extra income in the off seasons such as the months of January and February. Here are a few tips to get your started.
1) Find Students. Reach out to your current customers to see if they would like to attend a basic camera class. You'll probably find that many people will have received a camera for Christmas and want to learn how to use it.

3) What to Charge. You can charge anywhere from $99 to $249 depending on if you're teaching a private lesson or a group. The longer the class the more you can charge. Try adding on an extra half hour after the instruction time for your students to practice shooting.
