Top 3 Mistakes Photographers Make when Blogging for their Photography Business

Blogging may seem like an easy way to showcase your images and quickly have something to show to your audience, but if you're not careful you might find yourself making one or more of the following mistakes:

Blogging Mistake #1: Using Too Many Images (and not enough text!)

As a photographer it's very easy to get caught up in creating image heavy blog posts, but using text to accompany your images is crucial.  Not only does it provide context & education for the reader, but it helps boost your credibility and allows your website to be found by search engines.

Blogging Mistake #2: Not collecting e-mail addresses.

Your goal for your website is to engage further with your readers to create trust which will eventually lead to sales.  Get people subscribed to your email list so you can contact them regularly.  Have them opt-in and download a FREE Welcome Guide or FREE tips.

(And if you're wondering what to write in your e-mails check out my pre-written e-mail bundle).

Blogging Mistake #3: Not blogging on a regular basis.

It is important to be consistent with your blogging.  Start with one post per week and schedule it into your blog calendar.  Work your way up from there.  My Pre-Written Blog Post Subscription is a great way to help with consistency.  You'll get four blog posts each month.  All you have to do is upload and add your images.
